A collection of fifteen essays on the inculturation of the Christian faith in China over the last two centuries. This study emphasizes local Chinese churches and aims to provide a more balanced portrayal of the historical actors involved, recognizing that the indigenized church is an integral part of the history of Christianity in China. This volume is the result of a two-year project initiated in 2002 by the Center for the Study of East-West Cultural Exchange at Central China Normal University and the USF Ricci Institute. This study was the first in a series of projects focused on Christianity and Chinese-Western cultural history.

The Chinese Rites Controversy, Its History and Meaning

Actes des Colloques Internationaux de Sinologie de Chantilly

The Colloque International de Sinologie de Chantilly was held every three years from 1974 to 1995 in Chantilly France. An international symposium in Europe, this conference has been a major scholarly event in sinology that draws attention from scholars worldwide. After each meeting, a collection of essays is published. The conference was moved to Paris in 1998.
