Support the Ricci
THE EDWARD J. MALATESTA, S.J. SCHOLARSHIP, was created in honor of the Institute's founding director in recognition of his contributions to Chinese-Western cultural exchange. The goal of this special scholarship is to assist young scholars in China to complete their dissertations or other advanced studies in Chinese-Western cultural history particularly the history of Christianity in China.

Wo Ye was one of two artists selected in the first year of Malatesta Scholarships in 1999 to come to the University of San Francisco to study the art of stained glass under Fr. Tom Lucas, S.J. She returned to USF in November 2005 to present a series of public lectures on the Xujiahui Cathedral stained glass restoration project.
