9.   Cross Embedded in Wall, Church at Kaduthuruthy (Kaduthurutti)

This old cross, built into the wall at the church, shows a variation on the leaved-cross with the leaves pointing downwards, an unusual feature of some of the Kerala crosses. It is more usual to have the leaves pointing upward, because they symbolize the cross as the Tree of Life.
